Steve Alexander has extensive experience providing expert witness services over the last 25 years appearing as an expert witness for mediation, arbitration and adjudications, and at hearings both in the District and High Courts. In addition instructions have been received to act as an independent Court appointed expert and as an investigator in disputes being heard by the Dispute or Tenancy Tribunals.

In the last 25 years Steve has been personally involved with most of the 487 Territorial Authority Insurer instructions and therefore have a thorough understanding of the issues that Councils face implementing building regulations. Overall, since 1997 Steve has been instructed to investigate building defects and subsequently given expert evidence in over 700 building disputes involving either claimant or defendants.

As an expert witness our duty is to the Court. We are not advocates for our client. Lawyers are advocates and seek the best outcome for their clients. Experts are independent fact finders and have a duty to comply with the Court rules and be of assistance to the Judge.
